assistance for him during a visit to Texas; a report dated November, 1844, ascribed to Bull, telling of a recent journey through

16, 1927, from French to Professor Fletcher Harper Swift of the University of California at Berkeley, requesting transmittal
to Professor Herbert E. Bolton of a copy of a letter from Commodore Bull; an undated memorandum from F.B. (Frances Bull?),
explaining why the report on the Baja California material should be ascribed to Bull rather than to Stearns; and a signed
letter of transmittal, Berkeley, October 10, 1929, from Swift to Bolton.
